Faultline: TiVo enters tablets with TiVo stream, offers cable 6 way Pace box
May 24, 2012 – Rethink Research The fact that the very first product out of the relationship between TiVo and Pace is a 6 tuner device means automatically that it’s for use in the US – nowhere else has that kind of requirement yet. But in the US 6 tuners is becoming a requirement, and the TiVo Premiere being delivered at RCN already has 4 tuners. It may be a co-incidence that MaxLinear (see separate story) this week has come out with a chip that has 6 or 8 tuners onboard, but it may also be a clue to the supplier of this component. » Send this article to a friend... » Comments?
